It's an inclusive activity for all ages and abilities; you can even participate seated in a chair, making it perfect for elderly or disabled participants. The science of smiles: boosting your body
Laughter isn't just fun; it's a powerful tool for your health! It supports healthy cellular repair by increasing NK and T-cells, which helps fight bacteria, viruses, and destroy unhealthy cells . Laughing also releases endorphins, strengthening your immune system. It opens up veins and arteries, improving circulation and blood flow which helps prevent blood clots, stroke, and heart attack. Laughter can help stabilise blood pressure and blood glucose levels, and acts as a natural form of pain relief. Laughter Yoga was developed 30 years ago by Dr Madan Kataria, a medical doctor in India, and his wife Madhuri Kataria. Through his research Dr Kataria found that the body doesn't know the difference between spontanious laughter such as watching a comedian or funny movie, and simulated or intentional laughter such as participating in a Laughter Yoga workshop. Amazingly you receive the same physiological and psychological benefits. The Katarias started the first Laughter Club in a park in Mumbai with five people in 1995. Now there are over 150 countries that have active Laughter Clubs, and certified facilitators such as myself who provide corporate and community Laughter Yoga Workshops. Discover the profound impact of laughter on your physical and emotional well-being!

Stress less, connect more
Constant stress can negatively impact our immune, reproductive, and digestive systems. Laughter helps activate our parasympathetic nervous system, calming your stress response and fostering overall health. It creates a powerful sense of community and group cohesion, strengthening bonds and building friendships. Ultimately, I want you to remember this: The power of laughter for our health and mental well-being is real, backed by science, and something I passionately believe in and practice myself!
